View this post on Instagram A few detail shots of the heron collaboration with @the_vegan_tattoo_artist . . . . . #papercut #painting #mixedmedia #collaboration #heron #painting #cutpaper #birdsinart #contemporaryart #riverside #bird A post shared by Pippa Dyrlaga (@bearfollowscat) on May 12, 2020 at 6:30am PDT View this post on Instagram My piece "This Fragile World" seemed appropriate for today. Whilst we all take measures to look after each other, it's been so interesting to see the ways in which the earth has been healing itself a little in small ways. Wildlife returning to places, the air clearing a little. I made this piece for the Paper Trail exhibition at @abvgallery last year. . . . . #papercut #paperart #fragile #papercutart #earth #paperartist #paint #colour #cutpaper #japanesepaper #paperartist A post shared by Pippa Dyrlaga (@bearfollowscat) on Mar 19, 2020 at 1:29pm PDT View this post on Instagram Finished my piece for the Green Show by @wearescip. The Green Show opens to the public on 15th August at the South Hill Barn in Seaford. The show includes some of my favourites including @theprintedpeanut (fellow Hebden Bridger!), the talented @andywilx and even a print created by the amazing Quentin Blake amongst loads of others. I'm really enjoying combining (along with the challenges and unpredictability of tearing it the way I want it to go) the paper and the cuts. The tear belongs in the original piece of paper which I've pretty much removed most of it and I quite like that thought. Plus it's a huge experiment because I'm still playing with paint and learning how that affects the paper too. So I'm pushing the materials I've been working with for so long in ways I haven't before. . . . . #papercut #artdeco #organic #cutpaper #tornpaper #mixedmedia #materials #art #contemporaryart #illustrationartist #blueandgold A post shared by Pippa Dyrlaga (@bearfollowscat) on Feb 25, 2019 at 5:47am PST Pippa在創作時,先於白紙的背面畫草稿,再用到雕刻出輪廓,最後才返回正面看到作品的完成度。最初Pippa 的創作只局限於白紙上,但逐漸嘗試在設計中,加入不同的顏色如藍、金、黑,令視覺效果更為鮮明,表達出層次感。 View this post on Instagram A weekends work. Happy spring everyone. Strange times but there are still some things to smile about. Today for me, it's the huge bright yellow daffodils flowering up and down my street and it's making me happy. I made this for my mum because I can't see her, to keep her nice and safe, so this will keep for a while. . . . #spring #daffodil #bright #springishere #nature #daffodils #flower #floral #flora #thingstosmileabout #happy A post shared by Pippa Dyrlaga (@bearfollowscat) on Mar 22, 2020 at 1:57pm PDT View this post on Instagram Some close ups of my recent piece. . . . . . #papercut #closeup #detail #papercut #paperart #paperartist #pacmember #japanesepaper #mixedmedia #greenandgold #painting A post shared by Pippa Dyrlaga (@bearfollowscat) on Feb 10, 2020 at 3:05pm PST
